It's beginning to look alot like...

My niece, yesterday, just posing so I could work on lighting. I told her I would post one.
Jackson enjoying the snow. I love how you can see the flakes falling.
Once again, one of the few that he was actually looking at me.

So, yes, today I need to be pounding away at my research project writing, but when you've got little boys who look like they've won the lottery when they see snow, you HAVE to stop and play awhile! Plus with a new camera it was too much to resist. I am in love with the snow and black and white imaging. I LOVE it. I hope you like the pics, and I hope if you have snow you are enjoying it or at least it is putting you in the holiday spirit.

Happy Turkey Day!

My nephew - doesn't he have gorgeous eyes???
The boys at a park this afternoon. I don't really like the candy, but it's the only way Simon would sit still.

Hey y'all...yep, I'm still alive, AND I even have some of my paper done. :) Again, the key word here is SOME...anywhoo, we had a good weekend with family in Missouri. We celebrated an early Thanksgiving down there with Adam's family, and tomorrow we will do it again with my side. And then the shopping shall commence! Sadly enough, the only thing I REALLY want on Friday is a 4GB thumb drive. Oh wait, excuse me, that is 4 of those babies - 2 for me, 2 for Adam. I'm hoping to remove some of the 3000+ pictures from my computer!!! Well, I need to make a grape salad and a Turtle Pumpkin cheescake(which of course is 0 calories!)and keep working on my paper, but just thought I'd drop by and say hi to everyone. Have a safe and happy Thanksgiving.

It might be awhile...

Hey everyone! Hope things are going well in your world. Things in our world are still the same - crazy and busy and not stopping anytime soon. The boys like to fight right now, mostly because Simon thinks that the world is revolving around him and gets very disappointed when he finds out it's not. :) Anyhow, from now until Dec. 6th, I am going to be a slave to my computer, but not for reasons that I really want to be. The first 3 chapters of my research project are due so I must write, write, write. So, it might be awile before you really hear from me. Sorry! I will probably try to do some short posts, but it won't be much. Holiday season, here we come! See y'all after awile...

Meyer Boys

Today I took pics for some friends of ours. Their youngest and Jackson are like peas and carrots. :) They did a very good job, especially since it was FREEZING some of the time! These were taken with my new D90 - YES!!!! Anyhow, thanks guys!

Patience & Patriotism

I am so frustrated with Blogger! I didn't like my old template, so I decided to go with black again...and lost my blog list of friends! So apologies if I lost you. I am trying to fix it, but now it won't let me...aahhhhhh!!!!! I'll try to figure it out sometime soon.

If you are enjoying the day off on the 11th, thank a veteran. If you aren't enjoying the day off, thank a veteran. We enjoy SO MANY FREEDOMS that we TAKE FOR GRANTED EVERY DAY IN THIS COUNTRY. Without our veterans, such as my father (Vietnam), who knows what our lives would be like today. Remember those who have fallen, and pray for those who are fighting for us today. They deserve so much more, but this is the least we can do.

Finally, a good grin!

If you follow me at all, you know I complain about how hard it is to get Simon to even stand still, let alone get a good shot. Well, yesterday, here he stood, decked out in his brother's gear, looking proud, and even in good position by the windows! I was SO LUCKY to grab the camera and get this! It isn't the best exposure but I love it the same!!!

Par-T!

Surprise! Congrats to Don & Linda for 30 yrs(how she did...that remains a mystery) :)
The flowers were so gorgeous - the pic doesn't do them justice.
Okay, I know this is blurry due to technical difficulty on my part - but do you see how much fun the kid was having? HANDSTANDS ON THE DANCEFLOOR AND AIR GUITAR!!!
He was dancing too, but at this point just chillin' and enjoying the band.

The boys had so much fun...ohmigosh, they loved the band. I think we might have trouble on our hands!

If you are a photog here, I have soooo much work to do on indoor shots!

Wednesday Night Stress Relief

The neighbor, who so graciously helped me by sitting still - something I don't get too much of out of my kids!
Jackson with that cheesy smile of his right now!
She doesn't really like this one, but I do and it was a different vantage point for me that I liked.
This one might seem boring, but I was trying to work with indoor light. This is a little pumpkin on top of our entertainment center.

In case you care...

Happy Halloween!

Well, I didn't get any pics of Simon in the bee outfit, but there is one on an earlier post. Needless to say, he wasn't being very cooperative and then it got dark! Enjoy these pics - I'm off to bed, I'll post more "thoughts" later!
